Tyga - Cali Love

This video and song are kinda old, but I need people to be aware of how hot it is. Many associate Tyga with bullshit, but this kid has some serious talent. Press play.

So this is good for Drake...Right?

The "secret" is out. A source close to the Drake camp announced that the Toronto rapper/singer will be entering a joint venture with Lil' Wayne's Young Money and Cash Money, with Univeral Republic handling the distribution. Surprised? Of course he was going to end up with his mentor Wayne (not sure if that's a good thing)... Let's just hope Birdman isn't trying to adopt another "son".
No word on the numbers, but earlier this year Drake was allegedly offered as much as $2 million. Maybe his holding out was able to get him a bit more. His debut album, Thank Me Later, is already in the works and is rumored to feature collaborations with KanYe, Lil' Wayne, and Jay-Z. Look out for it later this year.

Nike Dunk High Gray/Pink

Here is a sneak peek at some new SB's slated for a Holiday (like Christmas) release. The ones in the top right have already been announced. (Forgot name) The ones in the middle have just recently been spotted. Saw this over at ISS I like the grey joints, but they would require some heavy swag to pull off so I could understand the relectuance to cop.

Casio G-Shocks

Here are a couple of G-Shock releases by Casio in July. These are a little different from the traditional ones. I have to say, unfortunately, that I would pass due to the obscure colorways. However, I would cop if there were white and black options. Spotted at HypeBeast

Jay-Z - Death of Autotune (D.O.A.) Video

Here is the D.O.A. video from Jay and I must admit that the direction they went with this it is quite fitting. The card scene in the middle of the video kinda reminded me of the Dead Presidents video with them playing Monopoly at the end. All in all I think this video is really dope. Your boy Lebron James makes a cameo and gets disrespected by Jay on the basketball court. Press play.

Lupe Fiasco L.A.S.E.R.S. Promo/Trailer

I wasn't rocking with Lupe Fiasco for a while for various reasons, but this We Are L.A.S.E.R.S album is shaping up quite nicely. That instrumental in the background is the beat to his first single "Shining Down" featuring Matthew Santos. When that is officially released I will post.

Charles Barkley Is Absurd

You have to watch this video. One has to wonder what is going through Charles' head when he's on air. What the hell is the hat? Goodness.

Nas & Damian "Jr Gong" Marley "Distant Relatives" Trailer

Nas and Damian Marley seem like they are putting together some epic, classic material that will really open some eyes. Nas seems inspired and the fusion of these two's talents looks like its producing a great product. This album looks REALLY promising while also providing an uplifting positive message while raising awareness about Africa. Make sure you watch the video.

Passing of a Legend/Icon

Words cannot accurately capture this man's legacy. The greatest artist and entertainer of our time. We all should pay homage to him and what he accomplished. I urge those who don't know his music to make up for lost time and at the very least listen to one of the greatest (if not THE greatest) albums of all time--Thriller.

Reflection Eternal - Back Again

Finally. A return from this dynamic duo. Back to making classic music.

Kanye West x LV

Well, here is one of the many different color unaffordable, expensive offerings made in the collaboration between Kayne (I know) and LV. Apparently these range from $800 -$1100 and will be available sometime in July. Good luck copping. By the way, these shoes are "straight/nice" to me, but not even worth a tenth of that price tag.

Some Scruffy Dirt Bag Talks Shoes and Hip-Hop

Here's your mans and them Jim Jones talking greasy about a whole host of topics. Honestly, at this point Jim is only good for comedic purposes. Too bad Dame thinks that he can make him money like Jay did...Splash=Swag for those of you who have been hiding under a rock. *Sarcasm* By the way, those kicks he has on are quite fly...but it would behoove him to actually speak with his eyes open. Just a thought.

**Notice Jim Jones is conspicuously absent from the Pandora Radio list. Can't take that loss. Sorry.

Charles Hamilton Tangents 101

Okay, so here's the thing right, I don't really have a problem with Charles or anything and I actually like some of his music. I also understand some of what he is trying to say. HOWEVER, can he please sit and formulate his thoughts before he just starts talking? Seriously, this dude is all over the place in just this short clip alone. Pause. Also, it is quite clear he is alienating a good portion of potential listeners/fans by spewing nonsense at such a quick rate. He also has a tendency to disrespect many "old"/"washed up" rappers. Say what you will, but I think he should focus on following up "Brooklyn Girls" with another joint...With that said, this video is pretty funny and there actually ARE some good points.

**Press play, then click "HD"...Youtube disrespects its watchers with that low quality default setting.

"Kinda Like A Big Deal" Video

Here's Kinda Like A Big Deal featuring Mr. West, the Clipse's first single for their upcoming album, Till The Casket Drops. Third time's a charm. Look out for the album later this year.

Yes or No

Yes or No? I say no. Those without swag need not reply.

Quickstrike! Nike SB Dunk Low "Blue Lobster"

Apparently these are super limited and will only be coming to 30% of retailers. I love them, but there are some out there that probably will want nothing to do with them.

Nike Dunk High Pro SB "Gucci"

Here's of a pic of the new "Gucci's" (right) next to the old ones (left). I have a feeling these are going to go quick and be a big resale item when they come out with the Holiday pack for Nike SB. I actually like these better than the version that came out in '05. The tattered look is cool with jeans, but not on sneakers that would cost you a grip on FlightClub. I kind of feel bad for someone who held onto those thinking they were going to cash in--not so much anymore. I'm looking forward to owning this pair though...What do you think?

Pharrell's G-Shock

Well...really no words are needed for this--saw this on hypebeast.com. Not really much of a G-Shock fan, but I understand this move.

Slaughterhouse D.O.A. "Freestyle" Session

20 Minutes over the same D.O.A. beat. Unbelievable. I got Royce in 1st, Joell in 2nd, Joey in 3rd, Crooked in 4th. It's good to see 4 rappers actually dedicated to rapping. What an idea!

Los Angeles Lakers Win 2009 NBA Championship

The Los Angeles Lakers have won the championship. I'm sure most people know how I feel about this considering my dedication and commitment to Lakers games all season. Kobe now has his fourth.

Ask Madden Post of the Week

We all make honest mistakes. You might wake up at 9AM for a 8AM midterm exam or forget the exact date of your girlfriend's birthday. It's all good. But, every now and then there's that person that consciously ignores all logic and reasoning. That person that just does something ignorant like run a quarter defense on 4th and goal...at the 2 yard line... with 4 seconds left in regulation... with their team up 6. You get the point. Probably should've asked Madden.

When I first saw this, I thought the guy in this video was serious. I've never heard of this ______ (insert the appropriate adjective/noun here) Riff Raff, but a quick Google search, his lack of a Wikipedia listing, and his overabundance of YouTube videos led me to one conclusion... While he may be joking about KanYe and other artists like A.Keys, he's very serious about his profession. Rapper? Reality TV personality? Rapping reality YouTube personality?!?! No disrespect, but probably should've asked Madden before starting his career. (He did manage to get a girl in his video though...)

Worst Rapper Alive?

Decisions, decisions...I have to go with Soulja Boy, followed by OJ Da Juiceman (pause), followed by Shawty Lo, and then by Gucci Mane--or there could just be a three-way tie (pause again). Write in the comments who you think is the worst rapper.

Mos Def's Proposition. Goes at Jay?

Mos Def takes exception to Jay's claim that he is the "best rapper alive." Some dope stuff in this interview. Check it out.

Fabolous ft. The Dream-Throw It In The Bag

Love this song for no particular reason. "Loso in case you ain't no so" has since had his release date pushed back to July 19th I think....

Drake DJ Semtex Interview Pt. 1

Some good stuff here. Great expectations...

Wale ft. Lady Gaga-Chillin' Video

A little late, but this song is dope. Cool 'N Dre ladies and gentlemen.
