Common x Friends Benefit Concert In LA

This is video of the Common's "Common Ground" Benefit concert at the Palladium in LA. Common, Nas, Ludacris, De La Soul, and the Roots were the scheduled acts. Kanye West, Talib, Mos Def, Queen Latifah, and Heavy D came out as surprise guests. I was at this concert y'all, shit was dope. Having Kanye, Mos, Talib, Common, and Queen Latifah on stage at the same time was classic. All of them are dope performers. Highlight of my weekend for sure. Awh.

H: Um, I don’t think I had much choice. Did I? In honesty, I was a little bit lost at that point. I had made the first album. Didn’t know what I was going to do and it just made a lot of sense. Going through G.O.O.D. Music was really just a formality because Kanye was like (in so many words) “look, I’m going to look out for you, I’m going to produce your record. You make the music and I’ll make you famous.” It was simple. Even when we were talking about production and who to bring in for different pieces of the album he said – you just sing really well and I’ll make some beats. That was the plan. End of conversation. "Billionaire Boys Club offers a look into their full Blueprint 3 collaborative release. With a total of 3 different graphics (okay let’s be honest, 1 graphic with 3 different text options) BBC offers a significant amount of real estate to Jay-Z’s latest album. Each shirt features a moonman print on the front, the BBC logo on the back, three red bars on the sleeve and a different slogan: either “ABC”, “SO AMBITIOUS” or “I’M ON A MISSION” overtop the moonman. A third of the way through this, you know after his Celine Dion cover, this video actually gets slightly interesting. I'm not sure I'd spend all my free time on Twitter and YouYube especially during a week filled with 4-a-days, but much respect to Ron and keeping it real. At 5:30 he even gives a shout out to Kevin Garnett. Can't ask for too much more. For you Laker fans, just hope that he stays true to his word about cutting back from the internet once the season starts... Good luck with that.
