I always would hear this song while playing NBA2K 10. Then I got the album by Miike Snow titled Miike Snow, a group that has written for Britney Spears and others. They are filed under "electronic" on iTunes, but I don't know if thats an entirely accurate category. Who cares? The whole album is hot, but this song is extra dope. Press play.
I don't agree with some omissions from this list, but I downloaded found some of the bands/artists I wasn't familiar with and I was pleasantly surprised. I suggest you do the same.
"In 2009, we spent so much time putting together our retrospective of the last decade (click here for our “Best of the 2000s” series) that we almost forgot about all the memorable things that happened this year. Well, 2010 ain’t here yet, so we’re spending the last week looking back at all our favorite stuff, including albums, movies, girls, video games, sports moments, books, style trends, and websites. Sure, everyone has already dropped their ’09 lists, but no one has taste quite like Complex. Who else spent 2009 bumping everything from Nicki Minaj to Animal Collective? Look back on all our favorites with the Top 25 Albums of 2009 countdown…"
Goodness. This is Exhibit C here, and all I can say is wow. I would post a download link, but you guys know what will happen...(or maybe you are unaware.) I'll see what I can do though. Just Blaze of course on the beat. This might be my favorite one...In case you don't know Jay Electronica, he's from N.O. and sounds a lot like Nas. Just Blaze just happens to be one of the best producers. You should know that though. Press play.
Well apparently this Rebirth "project" was pushed back until February. Here is the collab he did with Em and I must say this is dope. Eminem went to work on this beat--call it employ. Press play.
Here is the record Drake wrote off of Alicia Keyes' Element of Freedom. This guy is truly talented to write this record for A.Keyes. This is produced by Krucial Keyes, Alicia Keyes, and "40" from So Far Gone fame. Seriously, this is a top 5 song of 2009. Press play.
Here is new music from Sade!!!! They're coming out with the first album in 9 years on February 8th, 2010 called Soldier of Love. Honestly, I haven't bought an album in about 6 years, but this will probably be my first. Press play.
I haven't even read this all the way through, but he may have a valid complaint...Flo-Rida was nominated for "Best Rap Album" too.
**EDIT: I've read this and it is indeed valid. Unfortunate. Love vs. Moneyis a great piece of music and should have at least been nominated. This is really no surprise because The Dream's albums are often overlooked.
There are a few amazing things here...1) Paul Pierce clearly still has bounce 2) Right hand right foot (and still enough power to go through Chris Bosh) and 3) Chris Bosh is able to stand up and walk again after that knee shot (I'll leave it at that). Shout outs to the KG and the Celtics. You know what to do.
Apparently this is off of the mixtape Enemy of the State: A Love Story dropping on Thanksgiving day. Can't wait for this, and his verses here are dope. Press play.
Before I get started, no disrespect. I've been out of commission for a good minute. But, now I'm back (hold your applause).
With that out the way, let me get a drum roll...... Introducing... The Air Jordan 2010??? Before ya'll start popping off at the mouth about Jordan Brand, let me just say that I think the creativity behind the design for this shoe was great. Yeah, I'm referring to that massive hole in the side of the shoe which represents seeing bits and pieces of a players game, but not all. Not a bad idea and not too over the top. Whether I'd wear the shoe, I can't say (haven't hooped in a pair of Jordans since the original VIIIs dropped and since then a lot has happened to Jordan Brand). I won't throw these under the bus just yet... Js clearly aren't made with off-court aesthetics. That said, these look like a solid hoop shoe (as do a majority of Jordans shoes... Have you seen the 16.5?). Can't wait to see some more pics and colorways. The Jordan 2010 drops in February. You know what to do.
**I'm not going to lie, it is sad not to see the Jumpman logo.
***Even if the shoe turns out bad, it can't be as bad as seeing Wade in Converse...
This album is very dope and I highly recommend people support @Wale and buy his album tomorrow in stores or iTunes. Then support J.Cole when he drops. "Shades" is one of the best songs I've heard all year and its November.
Im sure most know how I feel about this channel, but they did something right. Could have done without Nicki though. No disrespect of course. @mousebudden murked this. Credit Nahright.
"Common is returning to his roots. After linking with The Neptunes for the majority of last year’s dance friendly Universal Mind Control, the Chi-town MC is reuniting with Kanye West and No I.D. for his ninth studio album, The Believer.
During the benefit show for his Common Ground Foundation over the weekend, Com told XXLMag.com that he has already recorded tracks with Kanye and No I.D. for the project, which he expects to hit stores sometime next spring.
Common also said he has been in the studio with beatsmith Twilite Tone, who he hasn’t worked with since One Day It’ll All Make Sense. Like I.D. Twilite also produced a lot of songs on Com’s debut." -XXLmag.com
This is video of the Common's "Common Ground" Benefit concert at the Palladium in LA. Common, Nas, Ludacris, De La Soul, and the Roots were the scheduled acts. Kanye West, Talib, Mos Def, Queen Latifah, and Heavy D came out as surprise guests. I was at this concert y'all, shit was dope. Having Kanye, Mos, Talib, Common, and Queen Latifah on stage at the same time was classic. All of them are dope performers. Highlight of my weekend for sure. Awh.
I see Lebron included his dunk on KG in this video. Josh, you mad/scared? Slaughterhouse in this video during Em's set too, I respect that. Press play.
This video is actually very dope. Tony Parker, Mickael Pietrus, and Boris Diaw make an appearance. I just noticed LeBron writes with his left hand and shoots right. Weird.
"HS: G.O.O.D. Music has a laundry list of heavy hitters on their roster. Line up aside; what sold you on signing with the label?
H: Um, I don’t think I had much choice. Did I? In honesty, I was a little bit lost at that point. I had made the first album. Didn’t know what I was going to do and it just made a lot of sense. Going through G.O.O.D. Music was really just a formality because Kanye was like (in so many words) “look, I’m going to look out for you, I’m going to produce your record. You make the music and I’ll make you famous.” It was simple. Even when we were talking about production and who to bring in for different pieces of the album he said – you just sing really well and I’ll make some beats. That was the plan. End of conversation. Just starting another cookie here… "
"Billionaire Boys Club offers a look into their full Blueprint 3 collaborative release. With a total of 3 different graphics (okay let’s be honest, 1 graphic with 3 different text options) BBC offers a significant amount of real estate to Jay-Z’s latest album. Each shirt features a moonman print on the front, the BBC logo on the back, three red bars on the sleeve and a different slogan: either “ABC”, “SO AMBITIOUS” or “I’M ON A MISSION” overtop the moonman. Two of the three shirts also carry over the text to the back. Available September 23, 2009 at BBC/Ice Cream."
This dude serious? Looks like he's mad about Kobe getting that documentary by Spike. How do they have so much footage of this dude in high school though?
A third of the way through this, you know after his Celine Dion cover, this video actually gets slightly interesting. I'm not sure I'd spend all my free time on Twitter and YouYube especially during a week filled with 4-a-days, but much respect to Ron and keeping it real. At 5:30 he even gives a shout out to Kevin Garnett. Can't ask for too much more. For you Laker fans, just hope that he stays true to his word about cutting back from the internet once the season starts... Good luck with that.
Here it is, the first single off of Transitions. Of course I'm looking forward to this. This guy is a throwback musician. Not too many of them these days.
You need this Foreign Exchange album. Its Phonte from Little Brother doing his side job along with producer Nicolay from overseas. It has a laid-back/dare-I-say neo-soul feel to. I've always been a fan and support this song. It would be nice if we could get another Little Brother album with 9th again, but perhaps that is no longer possible.
Apparently there is another part that hasn't been released yet. I'm sure Kimble would appreciate this if he hasn't seen it yet. Must watch. Credit Xclusivezone.net.
New joint from Diddy's "group" Dirty Money. Don't know if this is gonna be on Last Train To Paris or the Dirty Money album but I respect him for taking chances musically. I'm really looking forward to this project even though this song right here is merely lukewarm. The album itself is supposed to be a fusion of a bunch of different genres such as hip hop, soul, r & b, house, and electronica. Interesting. Press Play.
We first heard this song on the Drake's So Far Gone mixtape (album? mixtape-album of the year?)earlier last year. Now it's a single on Trey Songz new album Ready, which if you haven't heard is a definite cop for heavy rotation in the music library. Regardless of which album it's on, Successful is a great track and it's safe to say that Drizzy and Trey are a hit combination (pause). Hopefully we see more collabo work from them on Drake's upcoming album. That of course all depends on how many tracks, features, and hooks Baby, Bow Wow and the rest of the Cash Money-Young Money bandwagon stay off. You know what to do.
Apparently being animated and making stupid faces wins battles. In all seriousness though, I didn't hear anything ridiculous but maybe it was the poor audio capture. Credit: Fakeshoredrive.com
-The post game is really intuitive this year, and I don't think it is being appreciated enough at this point. It's the first time where I really think 2K might have found something that works for good. I struggled the first game because I had to get used to the new controls, but after that, I really started to understand the way to manipulate the controls and started to do some nice moves. And the great part is the moves aren't overly canned and extended, so you will really feel like you are the one doing the up and under, rather than pressing a two-button combo to do it.
-I do think if you have a dominant post player, you will WANT to feed him more than you did in the past because it's just more enjoyable during that interaction.
-You don't have to hold a trigger to post up, now it automatically goes into a post up if the scenario is right. To get out of a post up, you just push away from the basket with the left stick.
Really don't know how someone could still be playing Live...I am also ICoachToWin on 2K too. Again, Kobe showing others how its done. Read the entire preview at OperationSports
Unfortunate to say the least. Hopefully his legacy of championing health care reform will positively influence the nation's discourse on this issue.
(CNN) -- Massachusetts Sen. Edward Kennedy, the patriarch of the first family of Democratic politics, died late Tuesday at his home in Hyannis Port, Massachusetts, after a lengthy battle with brain cancer. He was 77.
"We've lost the irreplaceable center of our family and joyous light in our lives, but the inspiration of his faith, optimism and perseverance will live on in our hearts forever," a family statement said. "We thank everyone who gave him care and support over this last year, and everyone who stood with him for so many years in his tireless march for progress toward justice."
ESPN asked if people were in favor of Iverson signing with their favorite team. Look at the responses state-by-state. I can't even lie, I'm completely surprised. This is unbelievable. Really. No sarcasm. This is crazy. Read the ESPN SportsNation Poll Results
This joint just dropped a couple of days ago. Love the beat, and the song has a nice feel to it. Something that I would bump late at night in the whip. By the way, I've been keeping my ear to the streets blogs and have really liked what I've heard from Nipsey Hussle. He kinda sounds like Snoop, but still seems refreshing at the same time. I'll be posting more of his stuff here in the future. With that said, his verse on here is average at best and lacks any kind of real flow. Press Play.

The whole line up looks really dope except for Swizz Beatz, but if its only one joint that maybe it'll be good. The rest of this looks amazing though. Really, really looking forward to this.
I like the treatment for this joint. Good cinematography. Looks like they put a lot of time into this--unlike Fab's Loso's Way album. Seriously, Fab is a complete bullshit artist--I mean that literally and figuratively. When decides to make great songs, he delivers, but then fills up every album with 5 to 6 love songs with corny punchlines and weak beats. Listening to the "The Way (Intro)", "Money Goes, Honey Stay (When the Money Goes Remix)" (featuring Jay-Z), "Lullaby", "Stay" (featuring Marsha Ambrosius), and "I Miss My Love" it makes me frustrated that he wastes his time and my hard disk space with so much other unnecessary trash.

What in God's green earth is a RATATAT? This tracklist looks pretty terrible. Not anticipating this as much at all now. May not even download it the first day it leaks. I dunno....Props to nahright.
No I.D. talking about the direction of Blueprint 3. Really looking forward to this
“I'm on about 6 tracks and the original concept for the album came when me and Kanye were in New Orleans last summer. He was like why don't you come and work on this Jay album with me and we can do a couple of tracks. And we never really did stuff like that before so I was like O.K. And our synergy was so good off the top that I told him, “Hey man, I don't have an ego. Let's do like Dre and Mel-Man would do and let's do the whole album” which eventually lead to us working on 808s & Heartbreak together. First it was just gone be me and him doing it and then over time with Kanye touring and all that, other people got involved with the album. So we got 7 or 8 on there and I'm on like 6 of them and one was me all by myself which was “D.O.A. (Death Of Auto-Tune.)”
Unfortunately...
“From a beat perspective it's closer back to The Black album level from Jay- Z but a little more Blueprintish in a sense of it having a little more Jay-Z soul which you come to expect. But then Timb had some stuff on there, Swizz was on there. It's a really solid Jay-Z album to me and I think that musically its gonna deliver, point blank period.”
